Introduction.
Welcome to vehicle inspections, based in West Yorkshire, but we travel regularly all over The UK and EU. 

Michael began his career as his father’s apprentice, after leaving school he completed an indentured apprenticeship, qualified, worked as a mechanic/technician, progressed into management and lecturing at
college.

In 1984 he established himself as an independent consultant motor engineer specialising in inspections of vehicles (heavy & light commercials and passenger carrying vehicles, cars, motor cycles and failure of components) providing engineer’s reports and CPR Compliant expert’s reports for litigation if required.

Michael carries out all the inspections; he does not subcontract and does not have any contracts with other organisations e.g. insurance companies, warranty companies consequently he is total independent.

Michael accepts and has accepted instructions from; members of the public, dealers, repairers, solicitors insurance companies, warranty companies, Trading Standards Departments, the National Conciliation Service, The Retail Motor Industry Federation Ltd. and Vehicle/Component
Manufacturers.

Michael has and will represent; Claimants and Defendants in Civil cases and CPS/Police and Defendants in Criminal Cases.

We will be pleased to provide references from clients or solicitors we have recently worked for.

Michael has presented his expert evidence in both Criminal and Civil Courts for many years including ones with national media interest/coverage.

With regard to Continual Professional Development CPD; Michael has always continued furthered/updated his knowledge of new technology on vehicles.

The Institute of Motor Industry (IMI) set up in April 2012 the Professional Register for members that have shown to them that they are currently competent and continuing with CPD and it is a rolling 3 year renewal.

Michael was one of the first to be accepted on the Professional Register and was also mentioned in their national press release.

The IMI is intending, in April 2013, to allow the public to check if a member is currently competent on www.motor.org.uk

Michael is a vehicle enthusiast, has rebuilt/built cars and bikes to show winning standards, prepares his own vehicles and competes in Motor-sport events.
